Ron Desantis is running for president and wants to impose “the Florida Blueprint” on America. Let’s review the Desantis record and see what that actually means. As Governor, Ron Desantis has:

• Signed into law an extreme bill that bans abortions after 6 weeks, before most women even know they are pregnant.
• Pushed through a new law to allow concealed weapons without a permit or training.
• Passed a law that bans books discussing LGBTQ and race issues in public schools and effectively bans courses such as AP Psychology. 
• Signed a bill that allows individual parents to ban books they don’t like from being available in public schools.
• Strongly supported Covid 19 vaccines until he didn’t for political reasons.
• Attacked Disney, the states largest employer, and threatened to build a prison next door because they opposed his “Don’t Say Gay” bill.
• Praised Florida’s elections as safe and secure in 2020. Then he instituted major changes for 2022 to undermine them.
• Gutted environmental protections and effectively ended citizen rights to challenge rampant development.
• Signed a bill that limits Florida residents rights to sue businesses who have injured or harmed them.
• Illegally spent more than $50 million of taxpayer money on anti initiative advertising in an attempt to influence voters.
• Failed to resolve dozens of ethics cases sending a bad message to Florida officials and the public that Florida is not serious about enforcing its ethics laws. 

Desantis would like you to believe he should get credit for all sorts of things he had ZERO to do with:

• Freedom. Desantis has pushed and signed into law draconian laws restricting individual freedoms and Florida is less free now than before Desantis was elected.
• No state income tax. Wrong again, the Florida personal income tax was repealed in 1855.
• Sunshine and beautiful beaches! We have had that since long before Ron was in diapers.
• Claims to have made Florida the “Education State”. Reality is that Florida is vastly underperforming on education. Teachers are leaving the state due to the draconian book bans and limits on free speech in the classroom.

Desantis is the new leader of the culture wars and grievance culture on the right, manufacturing one crisis after another to further divide American’s over perceived wrongs such as: 

• Somehow, learning about people who are gay or transgender hurts children.
• Demonizing and banning “critical race theory” which isn’t actually taught in Florida schools
• Demonizing “wokeism” while being unable to even define what it is

We hope you agree, after carefully reviewing the REAL Florida Blueprint, the Desantis record is an embarrassment. Most Florida voters can’t wait for 2027 when Desantis is leaves office.
